What is domain propagation and how does it take Print

When you register a new website domain or transfer your domain to us, there is a waiting period of atleast 24 to 48hours before your domain can be live on our servers.

You might need to wait before the website is live and can be uploaded using the domain name.
However, upon successful creation of your website hosting and domain registration with us you will receive a welcome email which will specify an ip address which may be used to upload your website whiles you wait for your domain to be propagated.

What is Propagation and How Long Does it Take?

Propagation or name server changes usually take 24 to 48 hours to fully start working. This the projected length of time it takes for root name servers and cache records across the entire web to be updated with your website's DNS information.
Because of propagation, not all your website visitors including yourself will be directed to your new name servers on your new hosting account; some visitors will continue to be directed to your old name servers if you transfered form another host or the domain might now be available on the internet yet if you created a new domain, until propagation is complete.

There is no definitive way to tell when propagation is complete. During the first 48 hours, even if you are able to see your site on the new server, someone else might not be able to see it.
