These steps cover the Gmail app on Android. You need an existing mailbox, its password and the Secure SSL/TLS Settings shown in cPanel, Email Accounts, Connect Devices.
- Open Gmail, tap your profile picture and select Add another account, then Other.
- Enter your full email address and choose Personal (IMAP). Enter the mailbox password, not your client-area password.
- Enter the incoming hostname from Connect Devices. For the secure IMAP setting, use port 993 and SSL/TLS.
- Enter the outgoing hostname from Connect Devices. Use port 465 with SSL/TLS and enable sign-in using the full email address and mailbox password.
- Finish setup and send a test message, then reply to it to check receiving.
Do not choose an unsecured connection or accept an invalid certificate. If a certificate warning appears, stop and contact support through the client area with the warning text, without your password.
App labels can differ by version. Secure email settings and SMTP authentication explains where to find the account-specific values.
