A registrar transfer changes who manages your domain registration. It does not move your website or mailboxes.
- Confirm that you own the domain or are authorised to act for its owner. Check that the current registration contact details can receive legitimate transfer instructions.
- Request the transfer through Origami Host. We will confirm the requirements for the domain and any contact or eligibility issues before proceeding.
- Follow the verified approval instructions for the transfer. If you receive an unexpected request, contact us using the client area rather than links in the message.
- Keep the current DNS and hosting in place unless a separate migration has been agreed. After completion, check the registrar, expiry date and that the website and email still work.
Do not share transfer credentials in public. Approval requirements and restrictions depend on the registry and the domain's status, so a fixed transfer time cannot be assumed.
