DNS tells browsers and email services where to find your domain. Other networks can keep a cached copy of a record until its time to live, or TTL, expires.
There is no single waiting period for every DNS change. Changing a nameserver and editing an individual record are different changes, and different networks may show them at different times.
- Reopen the record where you made the change and check that the new value was saved.
- Confirm that you changed the records at the provider used by the domain's current nameservers. A change at another provider will not affect public DNS.
- Try another network to check for a cached result, without changing the record again.
Waiting will not fix a record that did not save or was changed at the wrong provider. If the service still fails, please send us the record name, expected value and time of the change through the client area. Do not publish account-specific settings in a public comment.
